Oddware: Hera Arms H6, side-fed mag bolt action

The Hera Arms H6, a side-fed-magazine, modern, bolt action chambered in 5.56mm. I am a sucker for anything with a sideways magazine and I was interested in this when I heard about it years ago. But there are already dozens of 5.56 bolt actions, including several different AR15-based bolt actions, a 3d printed mauser-style 5.56, and even a 3d-printed side-fed bolt-gun based on a Halo sniper rifle (which I cannot find anywhere, it might have been a photo on twitter part of a closed beta project).

I quickly lost interest in the Hera H6 knowing I could possibly build something like it - that and I already bought a cheap Savage Axis in .223 so the allure of owning another 5.56 bolt action has been lost for me, but it's nice to see unique and odd weapons still being released. From Hera-USA:

Due to the high volume of customer feedback, HERA Arms went back to the drawing board and incorporated some changes, including elementary ones, into the new H6. The first weapons will be delivered in the spring (which will certainly please the existing fan base).
